The name „Bollywood“ comes from a combination of Bombay, the old name of Mumbai, and Hollywood – the center of the United States film industry.

Bollywood films are mostly known for their elaborate musical dance scenes. Bollywood dancing is the foundation of every great Indian film. The contemporary Bollywood dance style is a fusion of classical Indian dance and western influences like jazz, hip hop, and modern together with glamorous costumes and colors.
